Cant play this game cause of 60fps
It's laughable how any semi modern game would lock you into ANY given framerate, especially 60.
I looked for fixes online, discovered this whole id5tweaker thing but it still wont work due to the fact that the ingenius developer of said tweaker failed to realize that some people on different sides of the earth may suffer from a condition called "different keyboard layout".
So "Just press Crtl + Alt + Tilde" really isnt helping because that. does. nothing. for. me.

Think I'm just gonna return it because this is absolutely laughable.

I bet you're one of those who prefers 300+ FPS, even though it doesn't change anything, just makes your PC whine more.
Kinda in the same boat right now, unlocked FPS and set it to 144, nice and smooth.. and as a result, the game is insanely sped up as my machine will run it at 200-300 frames, despite me entering 144 in the id5tweaker.ini.

While I'm trying to solve my issue -

One hint I can give you, in case you haven't returned it yet, from one non-ANSI-US-user to another: go into your language settings, install the English language pack, shift+alt to toggle over (your taskbar should reflect that change), then you have the tilde key right underneath escape.

Blind about what? The only time anyone needs to go over 60 FPS is if they want the mouse movement to be slightly more accurate, and less smooth.

For FPS online gaming like e.g. Quake the more FPS the better. You can perform jumps etc. otherwise impossible or much harder. But for a singleplayer game 60 FPS is just fine.

I'm having the same issue. It's a valid complaint. I say this as someone who literally just wants a 75hz refresh on it. I'm not trying to gak out with some crazy 144hz or anything.

The solution might be to get a gaming keyboard and set the demanded keybind on a shortcut.

If you remove the ";" at the start of line 142 in the id5Tweaker config file, it'll use F1 as the console toggle.

60fps is fine bro
I can say from experience that you actually do notice differences in smoothness up to ~120 FPS, after that it's just a ♥♥♥♥ measuring contest. There are a lot of games out there that unfortunately bind some part of the engine to the amount of FPS, so it sometimes is impossible to play older games on higher FPS.

But yeah, 60 is definitely enough.
The New Order is 10 years old now.

Have you ever played a fast paced shooter on a 240 hz TN panel? I have. I doubt you have.
