I lost all of my data and restarted on Uber choosing Wyatt. I thought this was going to be the case but the abundance of armor is actually really nice for keeping your hp above regeneration thresholds.
The only differences worthy of note for me were the hotwiring being replaced with lockpicking, the forgettable woman was replaced with Jimi Hendrix (probably my favourite change between the two timelines) and health upgrades were replaced with armour upgrades, which probably weren't as good as health upgrades. I still died fewer times overall though, although that was probably just because I was more used to the game.
This aspect of the game feels like a lot of missed potential to me, there are a couple of short parts which took a different path because you could lockpick doors, but that's not anything near what they could have done.
Thing is there is usually an excessive amount of armour lying around even playing the Fergus timeline. This became really apparent on the bridge chapter, so I started counting the extra armour on the next level. On the moon I left behind : 1 - 100 ; 15 - 50's ; 16 - 25's, and a couple of 5's.
P.S. I wish I could tell both Fergus and Wyatt to go ♥♥♥♥ themselves when they start whining about being chosen to live.
