HDMI to TV wont go Full Screen

Hi everyone,
I have a slight problem when tyring to play Wolfenstein The New Order. When just playing on my gaming laptop, it's fine, works well. But when I hook it up to my TV with an HDMI cable, it wont display the game in Fullscreen on my TV. I set it to 1920x1080p resolution, but then it still only takes up an area of about two-thirds of my TV screen and i can see my desktop in the background. And the game is even set to Fullscreen. I have never had this problem on any of my other games, so I am desperately trying to figure out what's going on. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Tried the ol' shift + enter trick ?

If by that you mean just hitting shift+enter together while the game is up, I just tried it, did aboslutely nothing :/

Woops ;-[ alt + enter is the fullscreen to windowed combi, my bad.

I've had it in the past with some games, just open up in some weird windowed mode, an had to minimize it like that then fullscreen it again. Sometimes works.

i have the same problem and it doesn't work.
alt-enter makes the game fullscreen but it won;t run at 1080p. its stuck at 640*480.

In trying this, I had chrome open and launched the game and mine was also stuck in 640x480 perhaps it's an issue with chrome. I also read on here second monitors can also be an issue in general.

Set your TV as the primary display and dsable the laptop screen, if that don't work use the TV overscan facility (Zoom) in your TV settings. Good luck.
