So when BJ (Benjamin Junk-trolley) gets to the 'super secret resistance hideout' he meets up with the old woman on the wheelchair like they are old buddies, right. Having played upto this point I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have absolutly no idea who this person is nor who any other sod in the hideout is.

'Tis never explained! Its just 'ohai, you got hurt to, now were friends.' & 'Grr hims accent make BJ mad!' What the door-slamming hell!

Tell me, internet. Who are these people.

the old lady is apparently from the 2009 wolfenstein game that is also coincidentally the only one you can't get off Steam.

Caroline Becker (the woman in the wheel chair) was the leader of the German underground resistance in the previous game, Wolfenstein 2009. She appeared to have died in the previous game, which is why BJ is surpised to see her.

New Order is the third of the rebooted modern Wolfenstein series following Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein (2009). There are only 3 returning characters from the previous games: BJ himself, Caroline Becker and the antagonist Deathshead. The two previous games took place in 1943 and all characters who seem to know BJ (Fergus/Whyatt) are characters he met offscreen between then and the game's start in 1946.

You can pick up RtCW here on Steam, and I'd recommend it as its a classic. Alternatively if you want to get caught up on the story of the two previous Wolfensteins you can watch the cutscenes on Youtube or a full playthrough.
