and yeah metro series and quake 4(which i found incredible boring)
Sounds like far cry 3 to me than wolfenstein, atleast wolfenstein allows you to go stealth or action more often.
1. The Darkness 2 -- Great story, ridiculously fun gameplay. Tearing enemies apart with demon arms, throwing car doors to cut people in half, ... and shooting too, I guess. But the demon arms are way more fun.
2. Rage -- The story is rather forgettable, but the gunplay was great. It's not all run and gun though, there are a lot of side activities, and driving, in a semi-open world. It has some crafting elements too, if you are into that. In the beginning, I wished for fewer driving segments and races, but they somehow grew on me. And I hate racing/driving games.
3. Dishonored -- I know, It's a totally different genre. But if you liked the stealthy bits of Wolfenstein, you may want to give it a shot. It has a similar "general vibe" to Wolfenstein (dark, dystopian world kind of stuff) that you may find enjoyable. It is easily one of my favorite games of this last generation, and definitely worth a look. Decent story too.
4. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger -- Probably the farthest away from Wolfenstein I will recommend, but if you want a kind of dumb, really fun arcade-y shooter, this is the place to go.
5. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon -- Far Cry 3 was mentioned in a previous post, and is definitely worth your time, but if you want to blow things up and go crazy in an over the top, 80's cyber-future, get this one. It's another stupidly over the top, fun shooter, with a humorous parody-ish story and some genuinely hilarious dialogue. Great for laughs and power fantasies alike.
6. Bioshock Infinite -- Again, mentioned previously, but if you haven't played it yet, here is why you should. The gameplay, whether focusing on guns or Vigors (Plasmids, essentially, or crazy grenades) is fantastic. I was in a bit of a shooter dry spell when this game came out, and it reinvigorated my love for the genre. Incredibly fun, arena style combat with solid shooting mechanics and the excellent Vigors. At the same time, this game is not afraid to make you walk forward through environments and progress the story, much like Wolfenstein. The focus of this game is exploration and story telling, not necessarily gunplay. But when you do find yourself in a combat scenario, expect to have a blast. And to top it all off, the aforementioned story is one of the best gaming has to offer. No matter how much time you spend trying to figure out what the twist will be, you will never see it coming.
7. Metro/Last Light: The Metro series, yet again as mentioned previously, is definitely worth a shot. A video game adaptation of a series of Russian novels worked out much better than it probably should have. Mechanically sound with an intriguing story, it's worth the hard drive space.
It's worth mentioning that I didn't take the time to look at your library and see what you actually own, so if you have already played these games, I am sorry. But anyone else who views this thread may find these recommendations helpful. These games are all worth your time, and some of them are criminally underrated (looking at you, The Darkness 2). Hope this helps!
