Is this game worth it?
Hello, I was wondering if this game was worth it. It looks very good and is only $20. I was wondering how the gameplay felt and if it is like Metro Exodus, as it looks very similar. Just wondering.
UPDATE: It was indeed, worth it.

I enjoyed it. The gameplay is a lot more run-and-gun and faster-paced than the Metro series, from my experience.
It is a bit buggy, as it's a console port. Nothing that totally broke the game for me, though.

Fast paced as in Doom or fast paced as in Gears of War, like a cover shooter?

RtCW and Wolf 2009 are better games

It's one of the best shooters ever made. Only for high standards players. It's the spiritual successor of Doom, Wolfenstein and Quake. It spawned a revival of the genre, Doom 2016 it's based on the same technology, slightly modified. It's a fantastic game if you like ID software classics.

Slower than Doom 2016. Cover shooting is in the game but not necessary if you're good at the game.
Also enemies try to flank you and most cover is destructible so you're generally encouraged to move around a lot rather than hide behind cover.

Its a good game but it has some SERIOUS performance problems on newer hardware, especially AMD cards. If you have an AMD card stay away from this game. I can run New Colossus on Ultra but New Order runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ even on the lowest settings. Also, game crashes a lot.

Darn, that sucks... Good info though. Probably has something to do with them using what was, at the time, already kind of an old engine for New Order, with poor optimization for modern hardware..

I'm playing full graphics at 1080 with Ryzen 5 3600 & Nvidia Geforce 1660. Smooth and high fps.

AMD GPUs have a lot of problems with a lot of games.

The New Order is a 10/10 game. For anybody who seeks other kind of info about this game.

Well, I have tested a lot of games since I have bought my GPU this year and all were tested without any problems. Only New Order has poor performance and crashes.

I have also tested The Old Blood, which uses the same engine and came out a year later and it runs fine.

It's the game's fault, no the GPU's. It's a good game, but a bad port.

Yes it is. Brilliantly made, with the best voice actors even if they are a bit repetitive on further play through at higher difficulties. Perks are easy to get even if you die a lot. Achievements are well balanced and you can rate yourself on world rankings for an extra bit of effort. I think I prefer this one to come back to rather than the latest one where the player background characters story and voice overs get a little too introspective about himself and his life.

I like it more for the story, characters and setting. Especially for the sequel. The developers really put a lot of thought into many aspects of the world.
