In Chapter 12, how do I jump back into the helicopter?

I have been 2 days trying to jump back into the helicopter. What buttons I press and where is the white dot is positioned? I also use the knife or gun, no luck!!!!

Every time I do this I have a little trouble too. From what I remember, you want to be holding a knife, and line yourself up straight with the helicopter. Then just run straight, and jump a little later than when you'd want to. It feels like there's way less ground to run on when there is. Hope this helps

Normally just run and jump into the helicopter.

I had the problem, i couldn´t duck. The Xbox Button did not work at all. So i swtched the game-window with ALT+TAB 2 times and the controller worked again.

The other issue was, that i was stuck in the ground. So i had to jump 2 or 3 times until i could walk again. This game is so broken.....

After a zillion tries & reading many hints I finally found a solution which pretty much works every time I have tried the jump. After picking up the armor to the left behind the girder go just past it & stop.
Get the single knife weapon & position the white dot in the middle of the doorway, backup against the wall then sprint & single jump at the last possible moment before going in the drink. Worked for me!

I had this problem too, but managed to get it after a few attempts. I understand the OP frustration.
