Wolfenstein: The New Order

Is this better/as good as DOOM 2016?
I might grab this during the big sale.. But might not as I already have plenty of games I have yet to complete. But I did enjoy DOOM 2016 alot and wonder how good this is.

Oh and I didn't like Bioshock infinite. I really like Bioshock 1 though.

this game overall is on par with DOOM 2016

the game is more story heavy in comparison but its worth your money, though you could wait for a better sale, but $5-10 isn't bad price for this game

its quality over quantity; if you liked doom, you're going to like this as well, same game design despite their differences

iirc the steam summer sale will start next week so wait until then to buy it. But imo the game is awesome and I am going to start a 3rd replay today.

3rd run and you haven't beaten the game on uber

what is with everyone, especially on PC, i did my first run on uber, WITH A BLOODY PS4 CONTROLLER

this bothers me that more people did vampire then beat the game on uber

This game doesn't play like DOOM. It's more of a cover shooter, especially if you play it at a higher difficulty.

but you still shoot stuff, and you NEED to move around if you are playing higer difficulty

also dual wielding and stealth are a thing here compared to doom

lol of course. They're both first person shooters. The thing is that in DOOM you can dodge pretty much most attacks. Wolfenstein has hitscan enemies, which means that if they see and shoot you, you will take some damage. The enemies can flank you, so yes you should move around. But you still need to take cover a lot of the times.

i see your point, but they are both bethesda games, they feel the same and yet different

i don't know anyone would dislike one if they liked the other is what i was getting at

I play games to have fun, not to get frustrated and throw my mouse and keyboard trough the walls.

i do too, uber REALLY isn't that hard

its diffucult, but not autisticly so like halo 2 legendary for instance
Kingkess551 Jun 16, 2017 @ 10:47pm
Though, lots of people have been having trouble playing the game lately.

I personally liked Doom more, but this game is awesome. More story driven, but doesn't take itself too seriously. Be sure to install it on an SSD though as the texture pop in is quite bad being the id 5 engine. Play on uber difficulty because it isn't that hard.

Ive just beaten both recently. if you like enndless violence with thrash metal in hell, get doom. I you wanna defeat the nazi scourgre including (but not limited to) giant mecha nazis, and robo nazi dogs, get Wolfenstien. I prefered Wolf for the story and atmosphere.

what "soul" is there in a FPS gameplay? thats a very vague reason to dislike a game
