should have a savegame folder with your saves.
should have a qconsole.log - look at it, might have some error msg why it didnt write
if these are missing
try running steam with admin permission
check antivirus log - might be blocking steam/game
check windows security/controlled folder access - if turned on, add exceptions for steam/game
there are NO steam cloud saves. it is up to YOU to backup your saves
Uh yeah, your save was wiped out when you formatted your PC. This has everything to do with your poor planning and nothing to do with Steam/the game.
Where did I say anything about "others'" gameplay? This software will find and back up YOUR saves. Of course you COULD use it to gather saves from others, but that's not the main purpose of it.
