Really a pity, I would buy this game.
The sequel has cloud saving.
Only people who loses their saved games is when they fail to backup their files when reinstalling windows and so on
What about when you go on vacation and use a different computer, i.e. a laptop instead of your home desktop.
Should still be a feature but hey I make excuses for lazy developers all the time too.
cheshirm beat me to it.
and besides playing video games should be the last thing on your mind while on vacation and also you shouldnt use your steam account on another PC besides your own for obvious reasons.
Thats not lazyness, majority of games didnt have cloud saving back in 2014 and earlier. Its still your responsibility to backup your files
Well I agree with you about someones responsibility to do backups. But for example I play on two PCs (desktop at home and laptop) and I really don't want to backup and transfer that stupid save file every time when I play on the other one. And yes, it's all about their laziness.
This. Call me entitled.
