So, setting it at 64 you will should get waaay more texture pop in, but it is the less strainful on your computer.
I think this all dependings on how much 'Video Card Memory' you have. If you have like 3-4 gigs of video memory, you should be able to set PFF to a lower value. If you only have like 2 gigs of video memory you might want to try 16-32 PFF.
This was quoted from 'Chrome Ray' on this forum a while back
"For PPF, Lower values make the game stream textures faster but will do it with more iteractions. Optimal value is when you won't see blank textures when making a fast 180 degrees turn. For most PC's it woud be 16 or 32, there is no point in going higher than 64, though a lot of other posters advise that."
