Game won't detect extra mouse buttons?

I just installed The New Order Tody and during the first mission tried to change some keybindings. Crouch to my mouse's button 5. However, no matter what I did it just didn't recognize that button or mouse 4. I could pick any other button on my keyboard just not the extra buttons. Is there a in-game work around for this?

I'm playing with a Logitech G700s and have functions assigned to my mouse buttons. I have remapped the thumb buttons to keystrokes in the Logitech Gaming Software.

yeah im on windows 10, and Jac it's just a basic mouse I don't have software for my mouse

Okay, so this is a common issue since the Win10 Creator's Update for some games. For me, this also happened with DOOM. Check here, solution in first post:

Tried that but I got TWO HID compliant mice and one PS/2 compatible mouse and tried messing with that. Still won't recognize the Mouse buttons

Did you uninstall each driver completely? Do Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 work in Windows?

yeah I just said screw it and im using X-Mouse Button Control. Works perfectly with that

Nah, ot's cool thanks for the help anyways. I wanted to avoid any other external programs to avoid bans in competive games, but Ill just make sure it's disabled for those games
