My game is crashing on startup (AMD RX 480)

i need help im currently on windows 8.1 and this is the only game crashing when starting up cant even play it !

I would tell you to play it on your integratic graphics (I managed to complete most of the campaign on low settings on a laptop with a cheap r7 m260 soooo.....if you really like the story, give it a go), otherwise just get a nvidia card next time, which is bs. Or ask a friend to allow you to finish the game on his pc if he has a nvidia card?

If not, just forget about the game. Been out for 3 years now, doubt they'll ever bother fixing it.

i was playing this game on intergrated graphics before , i upgraded and bam it crashes on startup just gonna try and get a refund

Ah, same as me. I doubt you´ll be able to get a refund, it's max. 2 hours played and max 14 days after the purchase, but you can always give it a try. Eventually argue with Bethesda? After all, here they're at fault and basically robbing new customers (not like they care, really, and even complaining to any consumer association won´t help....)

Because nobody told us??? It´s not advertised anywhere??? What, we should have an nvidia gpu around JUST for a game or two and swap it now and then? Why don´t developers just ♥♥♥♥ off and fix the issue? They're paid for that!

If it's a known issue they could just specify it in the section of minimun hardware, saying "nvidia card required, doesn´t work on amd hardware". Easy. But noooooo, they wanted to make 60€ from all customers (20€ now).

actually, they (AMD) did tell people. that because AMD had released a specific driver update some years back to even get "Rage" to run stable and not crash every few seconds.

my old computer had integrated graphics, but used AMD hardware and the game crashed alot. it was when I decided to use a now-discontinued GTX660 GPU, that it ran "Rage" quite smoothly.

so basically every time I want to buy a new game I have to check whether it has issues with amd or not? mate, I own 400+ games. I would spend longer checking games than playing them.

I was playing it, rather poorly at times, but mostly decent performance (generally above 60 fps or around there, 1440p Ultra) and no crashes during 8 hours of gameplay on an R9 Fury. Now, after either the Win 10 Creators Update or the accompanying Radeon driver update, on startup the game displays a black screen and then crashes.

Exactly the same with me, I'm still on Redstone 1, the problem must be with the 17.4.3 drivers, game played like crap anyway so i dont give a damn, is it so difficult to fix these wolfenstein games, so irritating!
