No idea - neither this, Old Blood or R.A.G.E will start now. I have a feeling that AMD mucked up (again), but that is just a hunch (although in the program logs is does mention a maximum version for the graphics drivers).

I've tried everything to try and get things to work but none of them did...

AMD RelLive drivers 17.4.2 to 17.4.4 had modifications to the OpenGl code that broke IdTech5 games (and a few other older OGl games too). Its been reported, but no reply so far.

Rolling back to 17.4.1 drivers or older will let the game run again.

This affects only Hawaii and Polaris cards.

If you have AMD RX 5XX GPU you are screwed (like me), because oldest driver that works with those cards is 17.4.3 :steamsad:

Luckily I run another computer with a 390X and 16.11.5 drivers, so I reinstalled there. :steamhappy:

I can confirm that using AMD 17.4.1 drivers work for me (no matter what type of AMD GPU u have). It fixed and solved the black screen crash after launch for me. Works even with Relive turned on, but you can set it to off to be sure. It doesn't matter if you have Windows 7/8/10. It is all about the AMD drivers.
For 3 hours I was desperately looking for a solution knowing that the game worked for me previously and I'm happy I can play this game again.

17.5.1 work

The new drivers now allow me to get to main menu and get as far as the cargo then crashes every single time I walk into that room anyone get this?
Wish it wasn't this hard to experience this game looks fun what a shame.

I found somewhere that with newest 17.5.1 drivers Wolfenstein New Order finally works. First try was crash to desktop after start. I decided to clean up my drivers with DDU and install them again with clean install. After that game launch just fine and works pretty good. So maybe try cleaning with DDU and installing newest drivers like me?

PS. I have RX480.

Cheers.
