Have you tried setting the headset to "2 Speakers or Headphone" in the windows
task bar?
Because if the trouble is 5.1 or 7.1 that should fix it.
I figured out tho:
The issue only appears, if Teamspeak 3 is running. Teamspeak 3 + Logitech G35 causes issues in several games, if those do not support 5.1 or 7.1.
I'm still looking for a solution :/
should work there, too. In the configuration of your sound card.
(Which should have an icon in the taskbar, if your card is anything standard)
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit. If I go to the Sound options in Windows, then press on "Configure" for my G35, I cannot change it to Stereo, only 7.1. The G35 uses an in-built switch to change to Stereo, but that's for the output in the headset, not for the output, which is being defined in Windows.
Anyway,
OMD! 2 works with 7.1 etc, unless I have Teamspeak 3 running.
There are known issues between Teamspeak and several Logitech Products. It is annoying tho, since I use Teamspeak 3 alot :/
Might have to try Ventrilo or something else.
You don't need to configure your Headset, but rather your soundcard.
So, rightclick on your soundcard icon (if there is one) and go to some manager
or I-dont-know-how-its-named. There, you should be able to switch the sound
output to stereo/headphones on the card level.
I know, what you mean, i think.
You mean the following?
Bottom right, sound icon -> Right click -> Playback Devices -> and there select the headset and press on "Configure"?
If I am wrong, then I am a bit clueless, because the above option only allows me to select 7.1 Output, nothing else.
I dunno why my bro, who uses Windows 8.1, can select Stereo under this option and I can't.
PS:
Just as an info: The Logitech G35 Headset is a USB Headset with an integrated soundchip. It has no other means to be plugged in into the PC. So I cannot fall back to my onboard AC97 Audio Chip or the rather old Soundblaster Live! Audigy SE.
I generally never use the AC97 Soundchip and my 2.1/Stereo Sound Set is plugged into the Soundblaster Live! Audigy SE.
Sorry, but other than looking for driver fixes or something I have no idea.
Maybe you haven't tried this:
If that's not helping, I'm finished, so sorry. Gotta hate Logitech right now, huh?
I have a Logitech headset, too (a very cheap one, though) and the quality of that
thing is beyond anything I am used from Logitech. Had a Trackball years back,
worked for 10+ years. Now this headset? Probably lasts 4 months. *sigh*
Does not solve it.
I think I have to ask either on the Logitech Forums or Teamspeak Forums for a possible solution or hope, that either Logitech or the Teamspeak Devs can fix it.
Most games work fine tho (with the Logitech + Teamspeak combo), only a few had issues so far. OMD! 2 is one of them :/
Warframe, for example, works flawlessly.
you have. I have known Logitech for durable and high quality products, but this
is strange, to say the least.
Oh, well, in any case good luck finding a solution!
I unplugged the headset from the USB 2.0 port and plugged it into the USB 3.0 port. No longer any issues so far with OMD! 2 + Teamspeak running.
This game worked flawless on my older pc that had these specs
e8500, Corsair Hx520, old775 Gigabyte mobo, 4gb ddr2, hd5870 ,2tb WD Green ,Auzentech x-fi Forte 7.1, Logitech g11+g5,Sharkoon X-Tatic headset,W7
New PC 4670k, XFX Pro Series B.E. 750W MSI Z87-G55 ,16gb ddr3, 780ti ,same soundcard same keyboard same headset Logitech g502 Proteus Core , 2tb WD Red, 256gb Samsung 840 Evo,W7
Switching to my previous mouse or plugging the mouse to a different usb port changed nothing
Even messing with my soundcard setting did not make the trick
Any idea?
