It has been said several dozens of times. Stadia funded OMD3 development after Robot Entertainment went broke with OMDU. Therefore it is exclusively available there yet. But OMD3 will eventually be available on steam. Maybe in half a year.

no were did robot said that itwould come to steam but even if they funded and helped it wouldent hurt to get more money by having it on all platforms

They did. Google it. And its part of the contract that they keep it on stadia only for some time so that Stadia receives the money they invested in RE.

you do realise there is no reason for google to give them money if they don't have at least timed exclusivity ? company don't just give money away to be nice. and they did say it was one.

not 1 year yet, i don't remember which one but i posted an estimated date of release in another discussion.

here a copy/paste from said message

'14 july 2020 on stadia, so you can aim for july 2021 (maybe a bit more for solving steam integration problem)'

I had no idea there was an OMD3 on the way. That's really exciting. I'll definitely be looking forward to July 2021 then.

be warned that july was only an estimation from me, (as a post stated that the game was a 1 years exclusivity) so it might only be released later.

Without Stadia OMD3 would never have been made. Let them have their exclusive - I'm happy to wait for the game to hit Steam. Better this way than nothing at all.

OMD3 is coming not only to Steam, but also on other platforms as well. They said it themselves. As soon as exclusivity ends we will see the game launching on several new platforms, including Steam.

Like many people said, it was either Stadia excusivity or no OMD3 at all, and Robot made no secret that Stadia basically funded the entire development, so in the end we should be happy this exclusivity is only temporary and not a permanent one.

With that said the frustration people have with OMD3 being on Stadia is understandable since OMD (2 in particular) had a rather strong following on Steam back in 2013-- enough for OMDU to be created, and seeing it being a Stadia exclusive feels hard to swallow for many.

I'm not saying I'm happy having to wait, but people need to understand that Robot was almost financially broken and if were not for Stadia this game would never come to exist, or maybe (and that's a big fat 'maybe') only MUCH later, if even that. Stadia was a necessary "evil" if you want to put it that way.

EDIT: Typos.

Plus if it really takes off on Steam they might have the cash to make OMD4 without Stadia exclusivity.

Have patience. The game is out and Stadia is beta testing it for us. There is also a fresh DLC out, and most probably more by the time we see the game on Steam. This means that you will have a good, working, and content-rich release on Steam.

Let those Stadia dudes test it for us. The game is coming to Steam as soon as exclusivity ends. I am guessing around late-ish 2021.
