Orcs Must Die! 2 vs 3
I played the second part (Demo) for a while and it was so much fun, but now I do not know if I still should buy the second game if there is a third one...

Which one is better?

2nd. But it has coop disconnecting issues.
Second has more replay value, because it leaves more space for trap variations that still work, lots of experimentation possible, like a fun sandbox.

Third is way faster and demands more action/fighting, but also more challenging.
The disconnects in OMD! 2 mostly affect co-op endless runs, in solo the game is very stable. Less frequently, disconnects also occur with OMD! 3, which is also the more bugged game of these two. And in contrast to OMD! 3, OMD! 2 will not cause your PC to overheat or stutter with certain DLC traps demanding much more computing power than the rest of the game.
OMD2 is by far the best the series has put out so far. OMD3 is not bad persay, though its a noticable step back in almost every regard. Play 2, get all the DLC for it, then if you're still craving more then look into 3.

Orcs 2 is the best of the series. Orcs 3 is fine for War Mage, but Rift Lord difficulty (not called Nightmare) and Drastic Steps is just bullsnot. Orcs 3 is a fine addition, but not as good as 2.

EDIT: (for clarity) I would recommend both. However, I would recommend you play OMD!2 first and then get OMD!3 if you enjoyed the game.

co-op dysnc can generally be fixed but requires some tinkering and many have issues straight out the box. Not sure how well it likes Os win11 moving forward as it seems to rely on some legacy stuff even by win10 standards.
