Thanks for your support, and I'm sorry you ran into that problem.
Yeah, the engine we used has an unfortunate side-effect of being false-flagged by various virus software. I shall chat with the publisher about getting you a private copy that hopefully resolves this issue. :D
Thank you for getting back to me about that, that would be helpful
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Beloved Rapture Demo\Beloved Rapture Demo.exe
Could someone check the file "Beloved Rapture Demo.exe", maybe with his virus scanner or Virustotal? The file was deleted in my case. It could also be a false alarm.
I have notified the developer Aaron Crawford by e-mail today.
If it is in the quarantine, try to allow Norton this file.
As far as you have downloaded the genuine Demo 3 of this game, the exe is not a virus.
Those who use G-Data: for me it was impossible to change the rules for those renamed RPG_RT.exe.
The developer had to help me.
This is a solution that we have underway! Hopefully we've mitigated a lot of this false-flagging already? But it's an ongoing effort. Thank you for your patience!
hope you can fix that problem soon, i was really looking forward to the full release.
edit: i could solve the problem by telling my anti virus software to ignore the file! :D
There were definite concerns that this might crop up with the full release...
Certain anti-virus softwares *really* dislike RPGMaker2003
We have a contingency plan to hopefully eliminate the problem if needed. We only haven't done it now, because we know it'll be a little pricey to execute.
"Failed to start process for this game: Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software."
I'm a big fan of Pixel Art RPGs and was excited to try out this new game.
If everyone could please let me know which anti-virus software they're dealing with, we can attempt to solve them one-by-one!
