It is possible to just find the game fun and play it because it's....fun. imagine people just finding a game fun and expressing that so that others, who find the game fun, can see that others are indeed having fun.
Im a diamond level player and I am able to find people of all skill levels to play against, people completely new to the genre it seems and people who still give me a reason to get better.
Normalize playing games because you find them fun. Not everything has to be a twitch e sport
*GRABS MEGAPHONE* THIS GAME IS DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAD!
