Gamecube Controller support?

I want to know if and how you can use GameCube controller and if it works on Steam deck

In order to use a gamecube controller, you're going to need the zadig program. once you've installed it, click options in the top left, < click list all devices < find the drop down menu < find wup-028 < then click reinstall drivers. make sure you DONT replace your keyboard or something like that because its a pain in the ass to resolve.

You might need to restart your game, and if it doesn't work after that try restarting your computer.
as for the steam deck, I have one but haven't tried using a gamecube controller on that. might try later tonight

buy a mayflash adapter for gamecube and it works out the box

The deck runs on Linux so it could be the same way of running it on Linux PC

I had to put my adapter in "Wii U" mode and not "PC" mode. I found this in another thread during my search so posting it here
