Clueless, I thought the year 1999 was long over. Don't use review sites, they don't work for free if you know what I mean. Go watch streamers play it live instead, so you can make your own mind up instead of believing people who received money from that certain developer.

And to answer the last part, no, it's a very basic basher game, there are way better and popular ones for 20EUR. You pay more than 40EUR extra just for the known characters from Nickelodeon, don't expect devs knowing how to balance stuff.

There's no proof that reviewers are being bribed outside people spreading the rumor as such. At the end of the day just because a lot of people keep saying something untrue is true that doesn't mean it is.

If you can show me evidence of a reviewer paid off then i'd be more than happy to correct my statement. IGN gave their reasons in the reviews, at the end of the day it's an opinion.

Oh sweet summer child:

https://kotaku.com/yes-a-games-writer-was-fired-over-review-scores-5893785

Excerpt:

''Interestingly, he mentions some other less-than-savoury episodes going on at the time, such as pressure from Sony and threats of pulling ad money over a less-than-perfect review for Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. This took place before the Kane & Lynch review, and thus (along with a change to the site’s review system, which brought the average of scores down) contributed to the conflict between ownership and editorial over review scores, meaning Eidos’ game shouldn’t be blamed as the sole offender.''

Don't players overhype games too? Hungrybox was running tournaments for the first game and a bunch of Smash players were streaming also but the game was still a ghost town after about a week of release. :balloonicorn:

This I think is very true.

Gamemill is stingy, so it'd be more likely the reviewers opinion is weird (assuming the game isnt 9/10 worthy for the sake of discussion. I will play it myself later tonight.)
