Worst racing game ever

Terrible.. Boring... Waste of my life. Forget the money I want the time I wasted downloading and playing this game back.. This game has officially turned the Colin McRae series into a runny diarreha running down the leg of of some business idiots who put profits before gameplay.

hey, i bought the disk version of this game, now steam wants me to update it but the update is 5.6 gb? is this correct? why such a huge patch

If you are referring to the 58 minutes I gave to this game. It was all I could stomach.

If you are referring to how long it took to d/l this game... well, if it had been an hour I wouldn't have minded as much.. But I live on an island in a remote location and it took about 4 days to download. At which time my inet was almost useless which makes streaming movies.. also known as porn.. painfully slow.

But if more companies actually followed that motto, there would be much better games coming out then the same old slop. This game has made me embrace indie games MUCH more. It seems if you want quality gameplay over "pretty" AAA games you have no choice. Case in point.. the Bioshock Infinite. Beautiful but boring and zero replayability IMHO. Of course this is all a matter of one's taste. I keep getting disappointed by the big game devs and more often impressed by what 1 or 2 guys can create on a tiny budget. Of course, I am not seeing any indie racing games because it DOES boil down to physics and graphics for those games. Thus my choice to purchase this one.

But back to the original point. I played every Colin McRae game since the beginning and loved them all. I miss them and wish Codemasters hadn't sold out to N. American interests in skillless smash-em-ups juiced up on energy-drink-tweaked commercial advertisements, turning their back on the most exciting and skilled driving in the world... Rally racing. If I wanted to play Xgames I would. I use to look to Codemasters for an experience that was for REAL racing fans.. not some 14 year olds who can't even drive yet.

I think this game is really awesome. Firt title of the Dirt Series I really played.
At first I thought it was boring but it turned out to be really nice :)

Dirt Showdown / Dirt 3, not the same style of game, at all. I hated the old Dirt games and love Showdown. It's very common that people who love the old Dirt series hate this one. Research is important.

I love Dirt 2 and Showdown so far ^^ . I guess I like Dirt 3 aswell.
What I do not like is driving open wheels races like formula one (Formel one ?)...

I'd say my least favourite part of the game is Single Player Gymkhana events, online I don't mind them because I have seen tons of people fail worse than I do, lol.

just on the 58 minutes comment, i played this and thought it sucked but came back and now love it, I got grid 2 last week which is good but its sooooo intense!.. this is prety chill game... I play on a F420 wheel thou so maybe diff...

of cause, when i remeber "Colin McRae 04" it's another game, but this one is also something new. its a little bit boring after playing it ~20 h .. I definitly like DiRT 2 and 3 more than this gaming

I agree. McRae Rallye was top, Dirt was not bad, but this is BS. A FPS with the car as your weapon. It's not about driving skills, it's about hitting skills. You have 4 challenges in an endless loop. Even Dirt 2 is better. Dirt 2 is about driving, you know...
