Dirt Showdown not detecting wheel

I need help! I'm trying to play dirt showdown with A Logitech MOMO Racing wheel but Dirt showdown just isn't detecting the wheel at all! I edited the ActionMap File lg_g25 so that it is

<ActionMap actionMapName="lg_g25" deviceName="Logitech MOMO Racing" priority="2">

but the game will simply not even recognize any input from the wheel as if it isn't even there. I Use this wheel in The Crew and Need For Speed most wanted 2012 and it works perfectly for both those games so there is nothing wrong with wheel itself. I just can't figure out what is wrong! It seems that every one in the community were able to get theres working for the game and I followed exactly what they did to get theres working but I don't know why it ain't working for me.

dog are you saing you dont even get the drop down option to change from keyboard to wheel? the wheel may be "hidden" under the drop down. Under Advanced Wheel Settings it says "choose preset" that is where the wheel will be recognized at. Click on "choose preset" and you should see the momo listed under the keyboard.
If that still does not work, go back into your code and check for an error. It could be as simple as a space or a period where it shouldnt be.
Don't take offense if you have done all this, I'm just noting things I had to do. (I missed the "USB" in the code from your post.)
ALSO! make sure you go to the logitech website and dload new drivers.

A last thought, when I had 7, I found that windows liked to auto install things like the wheel. The problem is, the install is flawed and never works correctly. If the wheel had been auto installed, that's a whole other work around, which I can try to help with.

The drop down menu doesn't give me the wheel preset options(Sorry for not mentioning that before).
and I already have the latest logitech gaming software that supports the MOMO Racing wheel.
like I said the game acts as if the wheel isn't even there even though I'm able to use it in The Crew,NFS MW 2012,NFS HP 2010, Test Drive Unlimited 2, and every racing game I have EXEPT for Dirt Showdown.
I can play the game perfectly with my PS3 controller (Which I use the SCPToolkit software to have windows 10 think it's a xbox controller).
Sorry if I'm wasting you'r guys time.

Not wasting my time. As I also have the same issue. Only keyboard shows under "choose preset". Win 7 - G27 wheel. Have no probs with the wheel in any other game.

Same problem with G27 and windows 10 here.
Could we (PLEASE?) get one with a G27 working to upload their ACTIONMAP somewhere please please please? :)

Hello guys, Don't know if it works for you, but i found a workaround that worked for me.
Just disable Nvidia Geforce Experience overlay and it will detect your G25 Wheel i think it's a general workaorund for all wheels.

The solution for the Microsoft Sidewinder Racing Wheel was copying the actionmap directory from Dirt 3 to the Dirt Showdown directory. After that the wheel was working right away.

Same here for Logitech Driving Force GT. Dirt SHowdown just doesn't recognize it (other games do).

Yes, thats what worked. I dont know if the logitech would work that way.

Ive spent way to much time on this. Edited line to exact name as in device manager with and without USB, (USB). With and without underscores between words. Copied action map directory from Dirt 3 to ShowDown. Studied Dirt 3 actionmap directory and could not find "Ferrari F1 Wheel Advanced TX (USB)" anywhere in any subdirectory but yet it works great in Dirt3. FFB is simply amazing in it. Tried to do it the online multiplayer way but no one is ever on. Works great Dirt 2,3,4,Rally,F1 2018 and basically every other codie title. Does not work with Forza 4.
Im having the lock up after setting wheel to steering in game and only option is keyboard.

Finally Dirt Showdown works with Thrustmaster TMX Wheel and T3PA pedals!

I was going crazy about this. Copying a new tm_tmx.xml file freezed the game. Turning the wheel in controls for steering freezed the game. Until I edited an available XML file. In my case I’ve just edited the Dirt Showdown/actionmap/tm_t500rs.xml and replaced only the device name to:

deviceName="Thrustmaster TMX Racing Wheel"

Everything else stays the same. Important Wheel with upper case W !!! It didn’t recognised it in Dirt Showdown Preset when it was written with small letters - wheel. It has to be the “exact” name like it shows up in windows game controllers control panel or it won’t be recognised in the preset menu of Dirt Showdown.

I’ve also replaced the old line …T500 RS wheel… in Dirt Showdown/forcefeedback/devicesetup.xml
with:
<FFBDevice name="Thrustmaster TMX Racing Wheel" scaleForce="0.6" scaleFriction="0.35" baseFriction="0.0" maxFriction="35.0" scaleEffects="0.85" delay="0.0"/>

After that I restarted the Steam app and started Dirt Showdown. Finally in Controls/Preset my Thrustmaster TMX Wheel was available to be selected and it works!
