Trade Routes and templates

Ok. So I dont get it. Finally got chance to open trade routes and it says complete 2 challenging quests? Ok. So wth is a challenging quest? My Hero's been completeing quests all over the place.
The I have an objective to create a unique Hero Template? Sure. WTH is that?

I think a Challenging quest is just someone doing a quest higher than their level. Like when they are doing one just the right level it says "Perfectly Balanced". Challenging would be harder. Not 100% sure though.

The Hero Template thing is just going to a crafter and creating a saved template so you can craft the same item again with the same look/name. It's a tab in the crafting window.
