Gem Crafting Not Unlocking

The day after the update, my friend hosted a lobby. She said that Hamish was telling her something new about the gems, but he did not have that dialogue available for me. We played in Nocturne Woods and both collected the tools. Upon return to the lobby, the gem crafting station was available for both of us.

However, when I later returned to local play, it was still locked and Hamish had nothing to say, nor was there any icon on the map to unlock it myself. The next day I hosted and it remained locked for me - and it was still the same, with no dialogue nor icons, and running Nocturne Woods a second time did not unlock it. But she was still able to use it in my lobby.

Has anyone else experienced this or other similar glitches from this update?

I did report this as feedback already, but curious if it's an isolated case or not.

unlocking gems is a process.

first, complete three anomaly maps.
then flitt will give you a quest.
complete that quest and you should get a device, charge that device, then hamish will give you a quest about finding his tools...

or something like that. i forgot some steps but it should lead you in the right direction.

Pretty sure its complete an anomaly map (beat the boss) Then talk to weapon dude and get his tools in nocturne grove. You can also get the device from blisterbane to get gems from anomaly runs by filling the bar (it fills by just finishing rooms)
