Rotwood

Rotwood

Is it me or is this just a Cult of the Lamb clone with not Klei magic?
I think it's time for Don't Starve 2, these newer klei games are just not good.
The game seems 90% copied from Cult of the Lamb but worse and with furries

To go from Mark of the Ninja to this is pretty disappointing.

Cult of the Lamb didn't invent side-scrolling beat 'em ups, nor the rogue-lite style of progression. I used to play Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara back in the 90's, which had largely the same style of gameplay with special moves, equipment upgrades, etc, and it wasn't the first of its kind either.

As for whether Rotwood has the "Klei magic" or not, that'd largely be a matter of opinion. I like it well enough so far, but that's just me.

Edit: Admittedly, the game certainly still needs more time in the oven (so to speak), but that can be forgiven since it's not even released to early access yet.

Cult of the Lamb didn't copy Castle crashers or The Blinding of Isaac,
Cult of the Lamb doesn't has furries (Lamb, Wolves, Foxes, Dogs, Horses).
Your post is senseless.

When did OP say anything about copying Castle Crashers or Binding of Isaac?
You might need to get your eyes checked.
That, my boy, was sarcasm.

If you wanted steam points you can just ask i'm sure.

As for what you posted that i'm 99% sure you don't actually believe; anyone who gives a mere minute of thought would realize Cult of The Lamb was hardly a consideration for this game since games take more than 2 years to develop and finish of this quality. When Cult of the Lamb came out I remember people saying the visual technique reminded them of Don't Starve, this is practically saying that but the other way around. I think forums would be better if it was y'know, actually about discussion? I mean the appeal of forums is people can voice themselves without immediate concern and can deliver more thought out messages as opposed to say social media where there's a character limit but you'll notice in a lot of forums people will say stuff like "i'm not reading all that" in a reply, then what's the point of you even being on a forum? Instead of using the steam forums for proper talk people just make short witty threads that aren't actually looking to talk about any game and just want to farm attention or steam points. It's kind of sad, I used to use forums to actually get help on issues or to see what the general community would think about certain aspects of a game and it was really cool. Now it's just replaced with this, antisocial behavior and people talking to themselves in an original post. I think game discussion has devolved.

I'm pretty sure this was in the works before Cult of the lamb. When Cult of The Lamb came out a lot of people thought it was "that new game by the Don't Starve Devs" Meaning they heard of Rotwood and thought it was that.
