What is seasonal?

When you make a character you have to pick between online and offline. What are you missing out on by going offline besides leaderboards and the level spam on the left of the screen?

You can turn the messages in settings regardless if your seasonal or not.
You have access to 99% of the game. Seasonal is for people that love to compete in the leaderboards. There are the dailies NPCs as well that won't be available in offline mode since its server baed.

They provide a daily batch of quests to complete. It the same quests each day, and the rewards are mainly experience. You also get a catacombs key and and imbued Dwarven rune though, and there's a monogram that gives you 250,000 gold for completing all daily quests.

Do seasonal characters still get deleted after the season or are they moved to offline mode?
