Issues I am seeing already as a new player
I just started playing, but already have 47 hours into the game. I am level 391 and about to beat the level 90 rupture. I do really enjoy the game for the most part, but there are same major glaring issues I am seeing already that I would like to address for the devs. Unfortunately I started playing with only 5 days left in the season.

I was originally playing a spin to win build and didn't look up any builds or anything before I started playing. I enjoyed leveling up and figuring things out. After getting higher level I decided to look up builds and see what people were doing since I started to feel stuck. I then switched to a dragon flame/raining flames build because I did some dps checks and saw the potential dps increase with.

Boy was I was wrong. First glaring issue I have seen is that most of these offhands have abilities that are down right terrible ONLY because they are just so random that a lot of the time they don't even hit enemies. I found this to be very true with my current dragon flame/raining flames build. If i go backward in a straight line i constantly see them maybe hit one mob then hit nothing for the rest of their attack or hit nothing at all. I changed my attack angle to a small circle instead trying to a tighter group of enemies and hoping the dragons would hit more. This tended to work better, but not 100% either. Not only that, but I was putting myself into terrible positions of getting locked into place by mobs.

So what I was seeing is that offhands like Fire orb and fire beam and spin to win with spinning blades are far far better JUST because they always tend to hit enemies. This is causing a meta not because of offhands being better based on power or anything, but just for the shear fact that certain offhands guarantee to hit enemies while others don't. I don't understand why dragon flame wouldnt simply attack the closest enemy then go in a line toward the next closest enemy to guarantee damage.

Furthermore, I am seeing a trend that stacking luck is pretty much one of the best ways to go hands down without having to think about anything. You stack extra inventory and put !% extra damage per extra inventory and then stack luck and add the 1% increase per 10 luck. I saw this used to be per 2 luck and was nerfed some, But this is also just pushing everyone to the same meta basically because its very easy to stack damage in such a easy way that takes nothing to do it in the first place. Why not limit these to 1 piece of armor per player that way you can't just stack stats this easily and make people actually think about their builds? To clarify I mean you could only wear 1 piece of armor with the 1% extra damage per 10 luck and only wear 1 armor with 1% increased per extra inventory.

Also, I am seeing that burning shield is way overpowered and is basically the only belt you should be using. You get armor, damage, and extra fire damage from one source. How is that balanced? The devs are pigeon holding people into these items by making them so powerful with nothing else around that is appealing. I would say to get rid of the damage increase on the belt at least. Like where is the balancing at? You use a pet that also lets you get damage from fire so no matter what element you use you just auto go to this.

There is a lot of balancing issues in this game and its because of the devs. This is causing pigeon holding metas that aren't there because of game mechanics and synergies, but just blatant oversight of the devs putting things in the game that are either overpowered or simply very low usefulness. I really hope they change some of this stuff so that we as the players have to think a lot more about our builds and to make a lot of these offhands actually more useful to open up more build options. If its easier for a player to throw themselves down the stairs then to walk down them we will always throw ourselves down the stairs. The devs have to change things to get us to walk down the stairs properly.

I am looking forward to the next season and trying to top the leader board. I have played POE and Diablo a lot so i think thats where this is coming from more or less. D4 Bad lolol.

The game needs to bake in the oven for a few more months but the depth as the levels progress is impressive. Will come back to this in a few now that I know all of the mechanics. I did get my monies worth already though.

I agree I def got the money worth already and the price is pretty good for what the game is honestly. If you like grinding away and a more simple ARPG then this is a pretty awesome game.

Hello! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. It's great to hear that you've already dived deep into Dwarven Realms, and we appreciate your insights as they're crucial for our ongoing development efforts.

We hear your concerns about the offhand abilities and their effectiveness, and you make a good point about the hit reliability of certain abilities like Dragon Flame and Raining Flames. We're constantly looking to balance gameplay mechanics to make every build viable and fun, and your observations are invaluable in this process.

Regarding the itemization and meta, particularly the stacking strategies you mentioned, we're exploring ways to diversify viable builds and avoid over-reliance on specific tactics. Balancing is an ongoing challenge, and your specific examples give us a clearer direction for future adjustments.

The overpowered nature of certain items, such as the Burning Shield, is on our radar. We aim to ensure a wide variety of viable gear choices to support different play styles and strategies. Your suggestion about limiting certain powerful stats to specific gear pieces is an interesting one, and we'll consider its implications carefully.

We're thrilled that you're excited for the next season and looking forward to seeing you compete on the leaderboard! Your experience with games like PoE and Diablo is incredibly valuable to us, and we're committed to improving Dwarven Realms with help from veteran players like you.

Thanks again for your support and candid feedback. We're eager to make the necessary adjustments to improve the game for everyone. Keep the feedback coming, and see you in the next season!

I sincerely appreciate the fact you as devs are showing your commitment and care to the community by responding to so many peoples opinions and concerns. It's very refreshing and shows that the game is what is important to you guys and not making tons of money off gamers with bs tactics. I really do hope you have great success because of this alone.

I do wish the game had tooltips or somewhere that showed how every stat, offhand, weapons, and weapon specific skills interacted with each other. Like which stats effect which things and which don't. An example would be does attack speed effect spin to win or offhands? If so which ones? Does strength increase attack of off hands and weapons and weapon skills?

Also it seems like putting points into things like dexterity doesn't do much for increasing armor. I was trying to put points into strength/stamina/dexterity to try and be more of a warrior base type so i could have lots of health and armor and good weapon attack, but putting points into dexterity and stamina seem to have very very low returns. I get that we get a lot from our Dwarven Relics and beefing those up are a big part of the game, but then why have ability points if its simply better to grind your relic and work on trying to get high level purple armor that have high stats like 30% increased crit chance and such.

More than likely there is a specific way to play the game I am not aware of yet that makes all this simple and easy because when the new season started I saw people hitting level 20+ rupture while i was still on like level 8. There is basically no info on the internet about the game yet so there are no guides that really help you understand maybe some nuances that help make you stronger faster that make the game much easier than it seems to be while leveling and going to higher ruptures.

I do look forward to the future of Dwarven Realms!
