The product key is already in use ?

I purchased this game when it first came out on Steam.
I played it plenty of times in the past.
I recently reformatted my hard drive and re-installed everything.
NOW, when I copied my product key into the "kalypso launcher", it says that PRODUCT KEY IS ALREADY IN USE.
Is their launcher that stupid, that it can't even tell when you are the owner or not?
Seriously?
CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH THIS ISSUE ?!?!?!?!??!?

Please write an e-mail to the Kalypso Media support "[e-mail]".
Include a description and a screenshot of your Steam Library in which they are able to see the CD-Key within the mail. Please enlarge the Steam key box to show the complete key.
