Save file soft locked??! Lost gardens amorphous upgrade skip?

Welp my save file is #$%@,,, Sorry for the language.

It seems that you can get the game soft locked and skip a couple power ups (I believe the gymnast rings? and or double jump upgrades) into a chamber which you can jump off a flying bug at a good timing and a hittable mystic orb then into the chamber. It triggers as normal as you climb up getting to the Amorphous upgrade, but unfortunately it seems that you are stuck in the dark chamber which is filled with i believe the lava?

Unfortunate as there are so many abusable hit jumps? throughout the game to get certain things. But I'm not so sure if those one were intentional by the game developers? I'll post a screenshot when I can to help visualize what I mean.

I did that area without any of those movement upgrade during both of my playthroughs. Don't worry, you aren't softlocked there. Once you get to the final room, you beat the boss and then the "lava" recedes.

Yeah, the boss hasn't showed up or anything.... Weird

That *is* weird. Might be a bug. No idea how you could have pulled it off though.

Unfortunately this is a known bug and there's no way around the softlock that we've been able to find so far. We're working on a fix for this as the highest priority and it will be included in the next patch, but unfortunately the only way around it now is to load your previous save file.

I'm really sorry you've encountered this and I hope you don't lose too much progress as a result!

Unfortunately, I don't have a backup save file. Is there a way to access that?

The save files for Voidwrought are stored in the following pathway:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\LocalLow\Powersnake\Voidwrought

And then they use the naming convention Slot+number, so Slot0 would be the first in-game save file, Slot 1 would be the 2nd in-game save file, etc.

Is there anything that you can see in that folder? Or are there no files in there at all any more?
