Unfortunately this is a known bug and there's no way around the softlock that we've been able to find so far. We're working on a fix for this as the highest priority and it will be included in the next patch, but unfortunately the only way around it now is to load your previous save file.
I'm really sorry you've encountered this and I hope you don't lose too much progress as a result!
The save files for Voidwrought are stored in the following pathway:
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\LocalLow\Powersnake\Voidwrought
And then they use the naming convention Slot+number, so Slot0 would be the first in-game save file, Slot 1 would be the 2nd in-game save file, etc.
Is there anything that you can see in that folder? Or are there no files in there at all any more?
