Game not saving

I recently bought this game, played the twilight edo chapter but when i try to save the file, there's an error that doesn't let me save.
Anyone has this problem?

I know this is old but I'm dredging this up for anyone else running into this in the future.

Note I use Windows 11:

I was running into the same problem AND it would throw this error after startup and after going through the various company logos:

Game config data was not successfully created

When Saving I would get:

Data was not successfully saved

While troubleshooting and looking through Event Viewer, I noticed a message pop concerning Controlled Folder Access stating that an executable was blocked and I noticed it the name was: LIVEALIVE-Win64-Shipping.exe

So here's what I did to fix it:

1. Click Start > Type Settings
2. In Settings search bar type "Virus and Threat Protection"
3. Look for Ransomeware protection heading
4. Click "Manage Ransomeware protection"
5. Click "Allow an app through Controlled Folder Access"
6. Click "+ Add an allowed app"
7. Add the following two .exe files to the list:
- LIVEALIVE.exe
- LIVEALIVE-WIN64-Shipping.exe
- File path for those will likely fall under
- DriveLetter: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\LIVEALIVE\LIVEALIVE\Binaries\Win64
- DriveLetter: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\LIVEALIVE
8. Once added, start/restart the game. You should now be able to save and/or create the system file path.
