No sound effects
It played fine at first, second time I played it, the music is fine but no sound effects. I turned it off and on again, didn't solve it. Any ideas?

did you try looking at the pause menu's audio settings?

Yep. Clicked stuff on and off. Sometimes, when I boot up the game, there's sound, sometimes not.

None that I see. Sound works fine on other games, for videos music etc. I'm using G35 headphones if that matters.

There is DLC for sounds. In level editor is written that sounds which aren't 100% loud, would not work with uncorrect RPC value for DLC. You don't have installed or you installed uncorrect or illegal DLC for sounds, perhaps.

It seems the problem is caused by the way the game handles the ending cutscene. All sound effects are temporarily disabled and re-enabled later. If you quit & reset during that time, the sound effects remain disabled. It's even part of the game state and so the bug persists if you reinstall.

WORKAROUND: beat the game again, letting the ending cutscene play this time. Everything works fine after that.
