Im stuck after fast travel

i got to the top of the mountain and there was a bird that told me to do long long short short long long i did that then i went over to try and do something on the map i ended up at the start before the black stuff and i cant seen to be able to get the melody to work anywhere as it just shows me a map and says z i hit that and i am back to the level how does this work

There are gold checkpoints, this is where you can use the fast travel whistle. There are a few different whistles, some are similar so if your whistle brings up the map, you're not using the correct whistle for fast travel. Go to the pause menu to see what whistle combos you've discovered

i have the one i typed the one that resets and one that makes a yellow circle and none of them do anything that gets me unstuck
ive also tried to do it at the yellow checkpoints and at the stone with wifi bars nether of them do anything

the one i typed has a compass looking thing above it

The compass one shows the overhead map
The reset one is the one with the arrow pointing in a circle
Do you have any other whistles listed in the pause menu? Your posts aren't clear, but I feel you have one more.

Also post a screenshot where you are exactly, that will help me figure out what you need to do

the area im in is the one at the very start of the game where the opening title screen is and i only have 3 melody the rewind one the map one and the one that makes a circle that shows me where something is ( have yet to figure that out )

i have a feeling i did the wrong melody and got the ability to fast travel without knowing the melody

Yeah, not sure how you fast traveled, the game doesn't think you've learned that whistle, I do agree you're stuck without it. It's short short long short short long if you just want the ability. You need to be standing near one of the golden checkpoints. The fast travel ability can drop you off at any of the "stones with WiFi bars".

The whistle on the left, if you're curious is to show you vaguely where the little golden feathers are around a specific area

I have just went and i did end up doing the wrong combo or something as the map was how i saw it before with the feets thank you so much for getting me unstuck

Whats odd is that i do have the code in the menu now so i have no idea how i fast traveled before without it showing up

ive gotten to the point where i have the fast travel and i still have no idea how i did the notes by accident
