Empty land tile to receive parcel issue

If you get an in-game message that "you need empty land tile to receive parcel" for some reason, this is for you. Gourdlets game info, Steam info, and the general interwebs hivemind could not explain why I was having this issue so just in case anyone else needs to know...

There may be a seemingly irrelevant object in the way of the package being delivered. This is especially in the case of the incoming parcel being much bigger than prior shipments. I discovered this after having received multitudinous parcels no problem, after I had put a lightpole right at the entrance to my Gourdlet town. But I couldn't get a subsequent one which I didn't know was a MUCH bigger package than previous ones. Sheer curiosity and experimentation had me remove the lamppost to see if it made a difference, and it did.
