Perfect Recipe Achievement UPDATED WITH SOLUTION

How do you get a "perfect" recipe for the achievement? I have the Cook class unlocked and she has her spices...thing in my wagon. Are perfect recipes random or do I need a specific recipe?

So, you can't actually get it during the Chisholm Trail. It's a random result of using the cook area during a normal run, such as the Oregon or California trail (I unlocked it during the latter). If you have a cook in your party, they will randomly cook a perfect dish at one of these stops.

If i remember correctly, you need the cook to make a dish with all 3 ingredient (Maize, Fish Head, Offal)

I accomplished it in Oregon Trail not Chisholm. I had my cook make the meal at a cooking campsite.

This didn't work. I'll try what Laurlant said and attempt it on the Oregon Trail.

So I ran a regular campaign and the option to cook never came up. I couldn't gather ingredients either, even with a cook.

It took me awhile too then I got lucky and they were all over!
