What made this so crushing when I played this as a little kid is that your wife and kids would die if you didn't keep them dry, warm, and fed. However, from the preview, it looks like your party has become 4 diverse adults? Is that correct?

I don't want even pretend kids to die, but if you take away the horror and uncertainty that colonists faced then what's the point? That fearful narrative was the entire draw of this game. Otherwise it is just resource management versus a random-event generator. . . that's all it was before too, but at least it was upsetting when you'd lose a kid to dysentery.

Yeah not being able to customize your party I believe is a bad design situation. I know it's a small detail to some but I just refunded it when I was forced to pick from only three options initially. I would like to have made a family and traveled but forcing you to only choose from a limited number was a bad move. Maybe they'll address it and fix it later down the road.

I completely agree, when I got the phone version, I was extremely unhappy with the inability to have a family. The extremely restrictive choice between 3 randomized options completely ruined any interest I had in the game. Hopely the steam version will be moddable. I want to be able to customize every element of my characters and party.

Actually the current mobile version on Apple Arcade does support full party customisation, sadly these new features from the latest mobile version have not been brought to STEAM by Gameloft.

This game is very lefty/woke. Literally the first thing that pops up in the game is some ridiculous anti-white and anti-Christian diatribe about Indians. And then the first Indian you talk to in St. Louis goes off on some rant about how much he hates white people. Then, you can't even select a party composition that it's even remotely historically accurate. Your party will be DEI and you WILL like it. Have fun!
