http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=216690 This has all the mods that are generally stable. Some are part of a larger mod.
I am looking for a mod to reduce collisions, and improve pathing.

not to be confused with Roguey's TC map which you will find in many links.
That map is Flash based and if you look bottom right corner you can enlarge the view to fullscreen. Then click on a sector.
Once showing teh contents of a sector you can ...
hover over a station and see a screenshot of it
use the arrows to look at adjacent sectors
look at the type and quality of Asteroids that you should find there.
Here is an Excel based version of the AP map

I've not looked in detail at that one as I don't have Excel on this machine.
The Argonopedia map is sadly lacking but handy for a quick printout [I'd reduce colour density to save ink or toner though!]

Another interactive AP map is

I do wish we had an in-game map along the lines of Scorps but we don't. :(
Thanks for the tip...been playing 4 or 5 hours now and no crashes
so far..TY
You do know that there is a viewer (excel) that can just view but not change anything.

Thanks. I did. I just hate using viewers when I'm so used to using the real thing on my laptop
I went looking for a printable AP map and finally noticed Roguey has one!

Any new X3 players should note the the gate pathways are represented by teh little coloured tabs and not all the links are shown with a line. Also sometimes you need to satisfy plots to get access to certain gates.
