Id say reverce engenering it would be best not to use it for money but a fleet supply ship since it can dock m6 and one m2

i have reversed engineered an aran, It takes four and a half game days. it also takes four and half game days to build. It takes a lot of resouces and costs a fair bit but it is wourth the effort. You have a good supply ship and you can throw a couple into safe sectors near to any that you want to take over

be carfull: if you dock 3 arans at each other, they wont be able to pass a jumpgate :P

rgr that. i think im going to use the aran for gurilla tactics on taking over pirate ships. ill cap the pirate ship and then jump the aran in to pick it up and get the pirate ship out quickly

also the aran has a hell lot of freight space avaible, so maybe you'll find that useful

ya, right now im using the mammoth for holding my extra guns and ammo. maybe ill make an aran for that purpose

Aran is a terrible ship to put anywhere near enemies - unless you're flying it, and you'll quickly learn why. It's unarmed on its' own, and is often passed by nearby asteroids going in the same direction.

noobish question but in what way do you mean reverse engineer is it something ive missed in the game or apart of some mod?

Once you get a player HQ you can build your own ships (albiet very slowly), and you can also use it to reverse engineer ships that you own in order to build them.

Would you honesty need more than one aran? Last time I checked it couldnt get though the gate if in sector it would just explode when it entered the sector taking any npc near it with it

i cant believe i been playing x3 for so long and never even got a HQ before i always got side tracked buying up my own little complex so didnt think a hq would of been so useful
