Litcube Universe installation

Hi guys.

I've been trying for some days to install the Litcube Universe mod for AP, and even though the installation guide is quite clear, I keep on experiencing graphical and GUI problems.
I'm not a native english speaker, so I suppose I missed some details there.
I am going to write step by step the way I tried to install it, and if some helpful people could show me where I failed, that would be awesome. I need this mod so much^^

Here is how I installed :
-clean "terran conflict" file including AP copied from the steamapps to somewhere else
-No steam "launcher" unzipped in the new file, and "- language 44" pasted in the shortcut
-Base mod (v1.3.4) install
-Soundtrack install
-(here should be the requirements for the up-to-date patch, but from what I understood there is nothing to do if it is your 1st install)
-Last patch (v1.3.9) install

Hi,
What kind of problems do you have the GUI? For a first installation of LU, your installations seems correct. I hope you didn't install the last x3ap bonus pack, because that is not supported.
Maybe it has something to do with the "language 44" Did you try LU without that setting?

hey, thank you for your fast answer. The main problem I had is the map background being totally black, without my ship "circle of shight". The GUI was completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, with dots scattered everywhere on the screen and writings being placed at random places, sometimes piling up. That did not happen when I tried the install without GUI though, so I'll stick to this for now on.
I still have the black map, but I'll try to do as you suggested. Thanks for your help, I'll update this when I'm done

Hi I had the black map too, but I did solve that to just install the GUI again. Also did you install all patches, or did you go from 1.34 directly to 1.3.9? Some of the problems you describe you can read here:

This is exactly my problem, thank you very much. What Litcube says on this topic differs from what's in the wiki, i'll try this out.

yeah, sometimes it hard to keep track on everything, especially if the mod is still updated many times to fix bugs and at new futures. So sometimes the wiki isn't updated right away, I think.
