Aid the war effort plot part 2

so i am friends with terrans and argon and have the mission aid the war effort. Now it says kill terran ships or help out with missions. Does this mean i dont need to ruin my terran rep to do this plot?

There are missions in the war sectors that are considered war missions, but they generally involve you having to destroying terran ships. Some of the missions you can start and then leave the sector and eventually the ships participating in the war will destroy the ships you were supposed to destroy, thereby completing the mission. I personally destroyed a couple random terran fighters then left and regained my rep, I never did a war mission to fufill the mission. You don't have to destroy very many ships.
