Litcubes Universe

Is this mod dead? Or is it still updated?

I want to play this game again using litcubes but I don't want to use it if its super old and outdated and don't work no more.


Anyone still use this mod? Does it still work good even today?

Also anyone tried Litcubes Mayhem mod? Has that been updated recently too?

Last time I tried Litcubes Mayhem mod the xenon was way way OP. And wiped out almost the entire universe in less than 12 hours of play... it was stupid. They still like this?

If so I might just stick to Litcubes mod but the only reason I like Mayhem is because I can own my own sectors and there is lots of wars going on in Mayhem.

I feel litcube might be boring because there's no wars going on and no factions claim sectors from eachother?

i'm more a vanilla player, but i'm sure if you ask on the X3TC sub reddit that someone will gladly point you in the right direction.

a more recent pool there shows that most people there play X3LU or Mayhem.

Hey man, i been playing Litcube for the last month, and i got to say it's a lot of fun!
I don't think i'll ever touch vanilla again after this.
I do play with most of the extra recommended mods and plugins like
-Satelite Monitoring (MUST HAVE)
-Auto salvage
Etc

I did run in to some problems to get it working, for example the latest version of
Crycow plugin manager didnt work, only a older version.
Besides that i've been playing ever since.
The way this mod reduces cpu and gpu stress by a TON, plus those awesome saturn complexes, i can def recommend it to give it a try, be prepared though, its more grindy in the beginning then vanilla (especially if you don't know what you're doing).

If you have any questions or need help let me know, ill share what i've learned this last month.

Litcube Universe hasn't been updated in years but works perfectly with the lastest version of Albion Prelude (the game gives an error message before starting but that one can be safely ignored).
Mayhem is still actively worked on by Joubarbe with update 3.21b having been released last month.

Both mods are incompatible with the Bonus Pack, Cyrcrow's Mod Manager or any mod that wasn't specifically designed for LU or Mayhem.

It may work to load extra plugins but that doesn't mean it play well with LU.

If I remember correct, those two, LU and Cycrow, do not play well together.

I did have Sat monitoring and the mod that sends a reaper to collect ships installed without the plug in manager mod. That forum thread is really long but I did read the whole thing pretty much out of admiration for the mod. Talk about a labor of love...
