wow yeah its a good idea to open source x3
I especially want to talk about the maintenance here, since it was mentioned as a gamebreaker before. The guy just did what the tutorial warned you not to do. It is in fact a really well thought out mechanic. the fact that you can produce ships for higher material cost and by that save on maintenance in the long run is genius (so you gotta decide which ships will probably not last that long in the first place).
Anyway, I havent seen most of it yet, but I can tell that whoever did this made the best avaiable with the given engine. This mod turned a game I barely touched into one of the best 4x games I have ever played, it feels like Distant Worlds or The Patrician and some other good stuff mixed in.
Well done, I salute you people behind this mod.
Oh hey excuse me I was just asking about this mod. Are you its creator?
If so I have some feedback.... Heck maybe it's just me.
But in a clean install I have noticed a bug.
When I click generate universe I then click play and go into the game.
When I target a gate.... the gate name will read as Argon prime... but the female computer voice won't say argon prime but instead another voice like Kingdom end.
Any way to fix this? It happens a log and rarely does it say the right normal name when you generate a map.
Also I noticed the Xenon are way way way too OP and super aggressive.
Like I would be playing and doing fine but all the A.I would suck at defending themself from xenon.
And usually around 12 hours or so playtime most of the universe is dead and taken over by xenon... like wtf that's super quick.
And when I had satellites in the A.I sectors I noticed no empire had any fleets to defend themself... like nothing.... so the Xenon was free to just take anything they wanted.
I like the xenon but their ships seem way to powerful and they seem way to aggressive for the A.I to handle so you end up with a game of just you vs xenon... which is kinda boring.
I think the Xenon should be balanced around the A.I and not the player.
Also when the xenon get too big I think all races should make a truce and work together to push back the xenon... then when xenon are pushed back war with eachother again.
As much as I like this mod some choices seem silly.
Like why is argon going to war with borons when the Argon have a huge xenon army taking their sectors? Silly.
But tldr: please make the xenon less aggressive and more easier for the Other A.I empires to defeat. I'm not asking for the A.I to wipe the xenon out for me but just the ability to defend their own sectors instead of flopping over like a wet noodle

You need to generate a new galaxy after that and start a new game.
Xenons must be aggressive. In the folder T which is located in the addon game folder there is a text file
9972-L044.xml you will find some settings in it, study them.
Is Mayhem something i should consider trying?
And can they be used together? (Litcube + Mayhem)
