Anyone ever use flight stick on x3?

Do i have to reset the flight stick throttle everytime i fly through jumpgate?

I used one once (no longer because the thing is too inaccurate now). Quite sure I controlled throttle with buttons (as with mouse/KB control) though, for reasons like you mentionned.

X3 becomes somewhat enjoyable with a flightstick when you develop a habit of automatically resetting your throttle during jumps / sector loads.

Still better than playing with a game controller which is completely braindead with its native settings.

Dammit. I guess i'll just buy the flight stick now, and get the throttle later when a good space game (hopefully x4) comes out.

I bought my HOTAS for Elite: Dangerous, and found the controls for X3 unwieldy and unintuitive. I went back to keyboard and mouse after about an hour of fighting the mappings.

I tried a Logitech but found the keybindings were unreliable [The stick nevber had those issues in other games] and apart from that the Mouse and Keyboard combo makes a good robust flight control.

I use a V.1 Madcats joystick its prity good you never need to recolaberate it like the logiteck ones i have i like to set it up as a combo with my key bired so i use JS for direction control and key bord for other funtions like speed strafe and role iv been using that combo since X2 so im used to it now. It still works good with JS on its own though you just have to go into control settings ingame and it should do what you want.
