(XTC) X-Tended Terran Conflict mod for AP now available on Nexusmods
I've uploaded the X-Tended Terran Conflict mod (XTC) with Albion Prelude hotfixes and patches. It's available on nexusmods here https://www.nexusmods.com/x3terranconflict/mods/106

Anyone looking to try something new with Albion Prelude should give it a go! Even if its just to marvel at our race specific stations its worth it IMO ;p

Sounds awesome!
Do you recommend for beginners? (not total beginner but not reached the "end game")
How is the performance compared to vanilla and other big overhauls ?
What is the gameplay focus of XTC? (Warfare, sandbox, economy)

I'm currently playing Litcube's Universe total conversion. I started AP with Mayhem a mod for LU total conversion mod but it's a real challenge it's f'n awesome but I havn't played X3TC in a decade and still have yet to play AP vanilla. I decided to try out just the Litcube universe total conversion without mayhem and it is closer to vanilla but with new ships soundtracks sectors, a lot of fixed exploits, a more realistic economy and an actual smart and calculated new enemy threat, the OCV Omicron Channel Virus, who with very dangerous and difficult buffed fleet slowly invade the X universe from a new set of sectors and one by one grow larger and larger takeing over sector by sector. your best m1/m2 cannot beat their m1/m2 1vs1, that goes true for any class 1v1 matchup against theirs unless your piloting yourself. I'm about 17 hours into my new LU game and the OCV have already taken over and are currently 3 or 4 sectors deep. I just caught a break and found a beaten the roaming salvage crews to a derilict Xenon Z that still had full shield and weapons compliment that bailed at 2% hull. Ships and loot are now found anywhere battles have been fought by anyone, not just by you, and there are Roaming salvage crews you will have to compete with in order to claim ownership. I've had 3 Bailed M7's stolen by the AI Salvage ships mere kilometers from beating them to it. New chaff system is f'n awesome albeit a bit expensive for the install. as long as you have your sat network in every sector, you can pull up a new menu screen that at a glance tells you how many bailed ships/enemy ships/netural ships smuggler/pirates/ and the number and quantity of misc floating loot and how many sectors away from your current sector. with options to view the sector map and/or jump strait to the middle of it or send reaver ships to collect the loot (have yet to fiigure that part out yet).

Its def worth giving a try if like me you feel X3TC took to many mods to enjoy yet still to easy. LU has thought of everything includeing all those Quality of life mods into a 3 single step install each with a no brainer executables the main, the soundtrack, and the UI. which are availible from github. I found it at ModDB in Mayhem mod's install instructions which requires LU.

I wouldnt recommend it for beginners really, best to play the vanilla game first. As for the focus, everything. XTC rebalances the whole game, new universe, loads of scripts. Everything is covered with a new vision. As for performance I feel like it runs about the same as vanilla, if not a little better in fact - but I havent run vanilla in a while so not sure.

Any particular reason you decided to explain this here? And LU is a fantastic mod, yeh.

Isn't this just another variant of XRM?

XTM is kewl if you like it. Do take notice of the fact that XTM was developed in X3R by Moxy in tandem with DDRS (me being the -RS part) and XTM ripped the DDRS mod apart to gain assets while Moxy moved on.
From there on so much has been done with XTM that it is not strange to see half the XTM members having participated in the development of X3AP.
XTM is a vast overhaul of the game. Where a load of people have made their personal impact on the mod.
I would suggest to every player to play the vanilla game until they know the game, then try some scripts. If you still feel the game lacks something, try XTM. It vastly alters the game that it may not be what you are after, but it may also impress you on a level you will never return to vanilla.

Thanks. Just want to point out the XTM and XTC are different mods. XTC was developed long after XTM. XTM is available here https://www.moddb.com/mods/xtended . All these X's and M's are pretty confusing, lol.

Oh noes. XRM is just that, rebalance. Take what you have and alter and mod it to a state of personal preference. XTM is a total conversion with a lot of added content. They are not even in the same ballpark ...
Except that it really isn't just "rebalanced," as it claims. XRM adds a great deal of new content, including more than 50 new sectors, 200+ new ships, new stations, new weapons, etc. Sounds like they are in the same ballpark to me.

I like that they slowly invade. I was playing x2 10 eyars ago and hated how boring it got once I started making factory loops (chains, complexes). I wanted a REAL threat that came after not just me, but the universe. Something where you can't ultimately win because the threat sends bigger and bigger waves of enemies. The goal was to see how long you could survive the incoming tides of wrath. I was thinking more of a longterm 4x where you build many factory complexes and learn eveyr trick in the game to survive. So I imagine this is like LU, but I'm not sure if LU increases the strength of the OCV over time, such that it would become increasigly easier for them to take systems. More than likely, the OCV have a set strength. That should make for a fun mid game empire, but a boring late game. Or maybe it scales the OCV to the power of the player. That might work, but it's lrestricted by the scaling formula. It'll never be able to exceed those limits.

Anyway this is just another reason for me to buy X3: TC and X3: AP over something like Empyrion - Galactic Survival. I never played any of X3 or Rebirth or X4. I'd love to try X4: Foundations, but I don't want to spend $50 right now. I guess maybe I should gamble on purchasing an older game. I'm nervous it won't run right in windows 10 with newer hardware unless I learn how to hack.

One of the things I really like about X2 was just listening to the background music. Sometimes it was so beautiful.
