A lot of Ore - What to do with ?
I am already collecting a lot of silicium with a TL oos (with the mod droneminer)
I drop this silicium in a 200 millions cr complex to make cristals for the solar plants.

Now I am wondering if collecting ore can give big profitsss in anyway ?

Most of stations use only a small amount of ore, and to use this ore the station want 6 times more cells which needs cristals and so many food...
It seems a too expensive way to spend so few ore...

To sell a ship full of ore ?
With a ship full of big lasers it s perhaps ok, but with ore I lose money at the end

So... any idea on how to get nice profitsss with a lot of ore from TL mining ?

You can use a TL full of ore to mess with stock exchange. You can also optimise some of your weapon complexes by excluding ore mines (and thus freeing much more batteries. one 61 ore asteroid mine L is 181 ecells/min., while for example 1GJ shield facility is 15 ecells/min, you see how many possibilities open up), but this will sure cost you more micro. Well, you can always try to monopolise on ore and sell it through CAG/CLS with max price. 206 x 1600 (roughly about that) = 329k you get from one large NPC weapon station if you sell ore at full price, yet it will require much more resources and effort to mess with NPC ore logistics. Selling a TL full of ore is actually quite pointless, because of ore large volume not much of it really fits in any given TL.

I use ore for personal weapon/missile manufacture. Missiles are reliable income because you in the playership can always flog them in infinite quantities for average price at an equipment dock.

Refined goods are always more valuable than the materials used to make it.

Not if you buy for max price, and sell for min. ECs, for example, would generate negative profits that way.

I have look at stock exchange and it doesn't buy ore but sells shares on ore, from what I have see

I don't want to exclude ore mine from complex, I prefer autonomy on ore with the mines of the sector.

I have not see a ship that give a profit by selling it full of ore, even a second hand ship like mercury bought at half the price (80.000cr instead of 180.000)

So there is no way to get profitsss with regular huge amount of ore from TL mining.

Add 1MJ Shield Factory to your complex, lots of them (up to 20ish), they will consume the ore and print credits.

MFG

You can get 10 TLs full of ore into argon prime, buy all shares and then warp them to, say, Kingdom End. The price on ore shares on Argon Prime stock exchange will be much higher when you do it, so you sell them. Thats is the easiest (and the cheesiest) way to get profitsss. I prefer not to use stock exchange ever in my AP games because of how broken they are.

No, 1 MJ factory is not a good way at all.
It s a way to make money, not a way at all to consume big extra ore

1 mj factory will consume 390 cells for 65 ore for itself
These added cells cost will need added cristals for added solar plant
These cristals will need silicium
So it It will need more cristal factories, more solar plants and a lot of food stations

It's not finish : These added cristal factories and food stations will each consume cells too (and so you need even more silicium, and even more cristals, even more food ... )
...

For me it is a bad way for consuming ore.

Furthermore the number of stations of your complex depends on the amount of silicium in the sector for the cristals of solar plant. More station means to find silicium from outside the sector.
Having to find more silicium outside in order to consume ore... no, it is endless.

Nice Idea I will keep it in mind.
But I prefer too not to use overpower shares of the stock exchance

Sorry this is incorrect. There is enough Ecells around Argon Prime, there is hardly a need to produce ecells yourself (in generall as its technically a loss, but thats a different debate). Even if you would want to produce energy on your own, there is plenty of Silicon to go around for that too. There is no real demand for Ore, which is why the NPC Mines are mostly full all the time (which is why you dont need to mine ore at all, as its also a loss in profit).

The Stockechnage exploit will only ruin the game for you, you might as well just cheat in the credits and cheat out the ore and you would have had better game experience than expoliting the SX.

Eventually I sell the ore to NPC stations with TLs !
It is an option I had not see in the first time, in the mod droneminer.

First the TL jump to his assigned sector OOS, get near a place with many pieces of ore, and there it sends 20 drones figher mk2.
They destroy the little asteroids to their smaller size, and then 100 freight drones take off to bring all the pieces into the TL.
This over and over until the TL is full.

Then the TL search a sector with stations needing ore and jump there.
But it doesn't sell the ore to only one station after an another, no, dozens of freights drones sell and bring the ore to several stations at the same time, in every directions (according to the fly time of the drones, to their limited fly zone) .
When cargo is empty the TL automatically go back to his mining sector to do al this over and over.

It brings profitsss and most of all, many more NPC stations have now ore to elaborate more expensive products for my 40 drake mk3.
For now I have 5 mammouth TL mining and selling that way since several days, and 2 more are ready for their maiden flight.

A TL of ore does not go far if you have a complex of 4+ ore consuming factories.
