So in short Badass Viking's post was half asssssed.
Basically everytime an escort or taxi mission is generated in a system, some of the games' scripts don't work accordingly when they have to delete or refresh the older missions which leads over time to a massive clutter up which creates such a lag that the game becomes generally unplayable after 3 days or so.
Never suffered it Sorry. I've played since 2004. Strange.
However a tent to build and never mission that much.
EDIT: maybe it's software (av) running in the background not allowing change in the X3 folder buging out the game?
Not well known but every 24 hours of REAL LIFE time, the Galaxy Director script does check for, and correct these issues though doesnt help with the lag problems in the mean time, If your not playing a Vanilla game you can just delete x offending station, and eventually a Fixed/working version will respawn in the same place... believe thats a 3, 6, 9 and 12 hour real life time respawn check.
X3: Albion Prelude 3.2 Update Released
