Requesting CD key issue

After downlaoding the game and atemtping to play it I had to sifn in with stardock which requested my serial number which I understand is my CD key, when I tried to view my key through the steam library It showed that it was requesting the key,

I was patient and waited ten minutes and it was still requesting, I left my computer running and came back half an hour later, and it was still requesting.

During both times of requesting i had no other dowloads running or and videos or games running. Please inform me if this has happened to anyone on any game and if there is any tried and true methods of fixing this issue. Thank you and I hope you don't have this issue.

My CD key doesn't even work! Stardock keeps saying that it's invalid

I sent in a support ticket to Steam but I have a feeling that they're going to tell me to contact the people at Stardock. I'll let you know what happens.

Akira Tezuka, I just re-entered the CD which was previously invalid, and it now works hopefully it does the same for you!

Still invalid for me -_- When I play I select that I want to play trinity yet Stardock tries to get me to register Diplomacy. Did you happen to notice that when you selected to play Trinity on Steam that Stardock register said Diplomacy?

I had trouble with my key as well but turned out that the window wasn't wide enough and hiding the last set of digits so some of you might be have the same problem

I've had the same issue. I submitted a ticket yesterday, I still haven't heard anything. I posted to their support forums today, and they told me to submit a ticket.

Still haven't heard back from Steam -_- Stardock on the other hand did help me out in a fast and professional manor. His advice didn't work in my case, but perhaps it will help some of you who are having trouble with the Stardock launcher opening up Diplomacy instead of Trinity.

-Navigate to where the game is installed (by default C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity)
-Run Sins Trinity.exe
-Click 'Play Trinity'

I had the same problem. Once I expanded the box and inputted the extra sequence
of digits it worked perfectly. Feel like a dummy for something so simple. Herp derp!

id suggest to first run with SoaSE NOT trinity... as far as i understand its DLC so maybe the CD key only cooresponds with the original non DLC.

As not playing SoaSE figured to start with the first installment, then go to the next. Hope this helps.

Bayne: It's not DLC, it's separate expansions/games. Technically you would have Sins of a Solar Empire, SoaSE: Entrenchment, SoaSE: Diplomacy all as separate games.
(However, I have them on Gamestop, only Rebellion on Steam, so not 100% sure if it's done differently here.).
