Discrod screen share
Hello! Is there any way to share NOT black screen game so far?
I have Win10 setup with RTX 3060, game runs good, but still can't share it with friends. If there is any way to fix this problem, please tell me, how to do it.
Of course I need to share it with sounds, full "screen" sharing is not my thing.

Try going to the in-game settings for the portal settings (NOT THE ALT-X MENU!) and enable windowed mode for the game. Yes it will crash the game the first time you set it and apply it. But then when you load the game again the second time it should be correctly in windowed (borderless) mode and you can alt-tab just fine to switch windows with the game running without crashing it. Then try screen sharing and it might work better for you. I had to do this to get OBS to latch onto it and live stream it for a friend.

With the game open and in windowed mode (refer to my suggestion above to get it into windowed mode without crashing) try this: switch to OBS -> double-click on "Game Capture" under Sources -> mode -> Capture Specific Window -> Window -> "[hl2.exe]: Portal with RTX - Dirct3D 9" -> OK button -> It should be grabbing it.

for me, it's a black screen, oddly! same with window capture. both just black screen - and i made sure the capture is enabled (the eye icon).

Did you try binding it to the game's EXE like I described above instead of just "screen capture" ?

correct! All i get is black window. my OBS is version 28.1.2. Nvidia driver 527.56
Hardware - Ryzen 9 5900x, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM

EDIT - i got WINDOW capture to grab it, changing capture method to Windows 10 (1903 and up). I appreciate your time, thank you!
