Can't Play with GTX 1660

I can play Quake II RTX just fine (albeit at an incredibly low resolution), but why not Portal? BS if you ask me - it's all a marketing strategy to get people to buy overpriced graphics cards for a gimmicky rendering technology that can't even manage a stable 20FPS on even the latest RTX cards when running at a full resolution without hideously blurry AI upscaling.

Your PC is WAAAAAAY below minimum spec for Portal RTX and since you consider RTX gimmicky that means you dont need it so go back and play normal non RTX games.

its a tech demo for the 40 series GPUs, it only runs on 20 series, 30 series and in theory RDNA2 Gpus. you can turn RT to minimum for a nicer Portal experience than the original Portal but there's a bunch of stability issues at the moment just launching the game.
FSR would help for those with older cards but I doubt Nvidia would ever add it, I'm sure it will be modded in eventually.
