Gamepad support broken (but works with the base game without RTX)

The RTX mode has broken gamepad support for Portal.
Without the RTX update, the Xbox wireless controller or the Dual Sense work fine (except for the reverse up and down option though).
Activating the option in the game settings just don't work when using the RTX version, please could you fix that.

oh finally someone other have tried this...here too i cant use the xbox pad so i cant play it yet :/

Is this going to get patched? I was planning to stream this to my Steam deck, as I want to play it in a lower resolution than 3440x1440, just so I can get some frames.

I have it enabled (in the mouse menu) and it doesn't work, hence my post.
As I said, it works with the original game, but not with the RTX version.

Try validating game files. I couldn't use a gamepad or use the steam overlay until I did. One file needed to be replaced. This was right after I installed it.

No good. It reacquired 2 files but nothings changed. Ive tried with steam input enabled and disabled. My enable gamepad option is ticked. It works in portal 1 without rtx but not this version

open in big picture mode and try from there. it has been working for me so far.

100% works you just have to map the d-pad to the w-a-s-d and set the sensitivity to around 0.333. map mouse one to l1 mouse 2 to r2. then a to space and so on. I added wheel up and down to triangle and circle.

I was about to upload my config, but they I saw others already out there.

HAHAhaaa... just use one of the default community configs. The top one has the left stick with the movement already fixed and you dont have to use the w-a-s-d hack i did on the D-pad.
